We are a Melbourne-based team of BPC registered building practitioners specialising in pool and spa barrier compliance. We inspect to every edition of AS 1926.1 - 1986, 1993 (including parts 9A), 2007, 2012 and 2024 - plus the Victorian Building Regulations 2018, so the Form 23 we issue stands up to council scrutiny no matter when your barrier was built.

How much does a pool fence inspection cost?
Our fee starts from $220 - this includes the inspection, the Form 23 compliance certificate, GST and call-out across Greater Melbourne. There are no surprise extras.
How long does an inspection take?
Most pool and spa barrier inspections take around 30–45 minutes on site. If your barrier is compliant, the Form 23 certificate is typically issued the same day.
What standard do you inspect against?
We inspect against every edition of AS 1926.1 (1986, 1993 including parts 9A, 2007, 2012 and 2024) plus the Victorian Building Regulations 2018. We are BPC registered building practitioners.
My pool failed - what happens next?
You'll receive a clear, plain-English defect report listing exactly what needs to be fixed. Once rectified, we return for a re-inspection at a discounted fee and issue your Form 23.
Do I need to register my pool with council?
Yes. Owners must register pools and spas with their local council via the Victorian Building Authority portal. We can guide you through this if you need help.
